IFMA conferences allow us to make meaningful personal connections in our facility management community with both fellow FM practitioners and industry-partners. Robert Kleimenhagen, Jr., CFM, SFP is the Facilities Strategic Planning & Program Manager at the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission and whether at local IFMA Chapter meetings, national IFMA shows, or other events (such as NFMT), he continuously finds ways to collaborate with colleagues. With a passion for project planning and being part of a team, Robert tells Mike Petrusky that FM is "the ultimate give-back profession" as he gets to take care of the occupants in his facilities. He recognizes the need for FMs to build their personal brand online and believes in advancing professional careers through resources like LinkedIn and other social media platforms. The future of FM is bright and Robert points to the increasing diversity of FM practitioners in the workplace as a good sign that we will continue to work together and elevate the profession. Mike Petrusky asks Robert to share the story of how they met at World Workplace and we learn that they both enjoy similar genres of music and trips to "The Most Magical Place on Earth"!
